Principle of Correspondence: As Above, so Below
This principle emphasises the correspondence between the laws and phenomena of the different plans of Being and Life.
There are plans of existence beyond our knowledge, and when we apply the Principle of Correspondence, it becomes possible to understand things that would otherwise be left unknown to us.
As above, so below. As in heaven, so on earth, it can be extended to different planes of existence. The microcosm is a reflection of the macrocosm, the matter is a reflection of energy. The human, his physical and mental inner world is a reflection of the world outside, the environment. And vice versa is also as valid.
This is a fundamental principle, its understanding, application, manipulation could make the man a God-like being.
You agree that external factors from the environment influence your physical and mental ones, don’t you? For example, the weather; when it’s sunny, you feel lighter and happier, you have more lust for life. But when it is dark and rainy, you are melancholic, you feel sad, and you may have pain in your joints.
What if your outside world is a mirror of the inside? Do you realise you could be capable of changing it according to your needs and desires? In fact, humans have long shaped physically their environment, sometimes even irreversibly. But man can change his world not only on the physical plane but also on the energy one, creating new possibilities and opportunities for himself.
If you see the world positively, without false expectations, you are also creating further conditions for more positivism and more optimism in your life. The weather was the same. Just the way we saw it was different.
From the inside, we can influence the outside.
As in heaven, so on earth, as the spirit, so the matter. God created us in his own image. This means that it has provided us with everything we need to have a happy and fulfilled life.
One of the past days, middle December, I went into a bakery. First, I was alone, and the shopgirl just served me when another customer women, came in. Slightly agitated, after greeting, she continued: “What shitty weather! I hate it!”. I looked out the window … sunny, no breath of wind, quiet, 14 degrees … I couldn’t figure out what was so bad at this weather. For me, it seemed to be perfect!
And God gave us something more: the freedom of choice, the freedom to relate us to what is around us. He made us with measure and the measure of everything, and He let it up to us to keep the balance as good as possible or to tilt towards left or right, white or black, good or bad, beautiful or ugly, pleasant or unpleasant. This is the forth hermetic principle. The Principle of Polarity.
Tomorrow about the third one: The Principle of Vibration.
Have a blessed day!
